The iQ-VIEW 2.5.0b upgrade is now available!

The new version comes with an improved performance for a faster loading and searching in the local imagebox and now supports additional transfer syntaxes for DICOM communication (e.g. JPEG 2000 lossless and lossy). Users will notice significant enhancements in the auto-routing function, a better use of search filters and improvements in the DICOM email import and export. To make the creation of short reports even easier, iQ-VIEW now also stores font style and font size in the report module.

The following bugs have been fixed in iQ-VIEW 2.5.0b:

• Customizable iQ-LITE banner is again burned onto the medium;
• The incorrect display of scoutlines (occurring under extremely rare circumstances) has been corrected;
• The scoutlines display is now refreshed when switching series;
• Several refresh issues have been resolved.

The patch includes the following enhancements:

• The shape cropping tool now produces accurate results also when drawing overlapping shapes;
• When loading images, the load error warning no longer appears.

iQ-X is the optional ActiveX web viewer application for iQ-WEB and we are very pleased to announce that an iQ-X upgrade is now available! The upgrade includes features specifically designed to increase user efficiency like saving and restoring of image properties including zoom, width, length and color scheme when switching between series. Users now also have the option of performing automatic tiling of views. The new and improved version performs faster downloading of images in intranet scenarios and faster returning to iQ-WEB study selection especially when using a very slow connection.

The optional HIS/RIS client interface, which connects your HIS/RIS to iQ-WEBX, now allows you to retrieve up to ten studies at a time which are then directly imported into iQ-X.

DICOMReader is now even more robust than ever due to the enhanced scanning function which allows users to select Store DICOM files temporarily on hard disk in combination with Use DICOMDIR.

Store DICOM files temporarily on hard disk is a function that temporally stores the DICOM files of the media on the local hard disk to speed up the reading and retrieval process of the media’s data.

Use DICOMDIR is a function that uses the DICOMDIR file if it exists on the media. Using this file speeds up the scanning of the data on the media.

Answer: With a right mouse click on the (i) button in the toolbar you can find out which software version is currently installed. Additionally, you have access to several useful configuration options. Please find a detailed description of each option in the iQ-X manual.
